While the henna in these pictures look dark, it is because most of them are taken with the henna paste still on. The paste is actually a dark brown, greenish color. I do not use black henna. I ONLY use all natural, safe henna from a Certified Henna Dealer. I do not use “black henna” which contains para-phenylenediamine (PPD). If interested in the dangers of black “henna” you can read this page for more information. The Henna Page – PPDI can do anything from simple “festival” designs to individual, intricate body art.

Henna Body Art and Belly Casting
Being pregnant is a time in a womans’ life to celebrate. Acknowledging your own special beauty can help you feel more confident and comfortable with your pregnant body. While you may feel uncomfortable and ungainly, a beautiful henna design can help you remember what a special time it is in your life and what a wonderful thing your body is doing. A belly cast can bring back the memories of this wondrous time in your life. Young children also find it fascinating to see an impression of the bellies they “lived in”.
You do not need to be my doula client in order to have a henna design or belly cast done. I do individual appointments as well as private parties.
Henna in pictures are taken with paste on.

Fabulous,
I look forward to having some hand and foot henna for performances in Middle Eastern Dance. Lovely pictures.

Thank you Carmen. Can you make it out of the house yet? I’m staying at Moes. If you come over I’ll do some free henna on you.
